R is the popular statistical open source tool for researcher and mathematicians. RStudio integrated development environment enhances the basic statistical support of R and also providing more functionality. It can be installed in Ubuntu with two easy steps.
Installation
Ubuntu Version : 13:04
- Type the given command in your Terminal
#sudo apt-get install littler libjpeg62
- Download the RStudio latest desktop version from this http://www.rstudio.com/ide/download/desktop link and save it into local documents. After downloading execute the following command in terminal
#cd /homa/username/Documents
#sudo dpkg -i rstudio-0.98.497-amd64.deb
Extra Tips
- Once the installation was completed, open rstudio from Unity Dash board or from command line terminal.
- RStudio comes with two flavors,
- Desktop version - Stand alone software for personal computer
- Server Version – It can be installed in server machine, Client system can access and execute the command remotely from server.
- Drop your comments if any error occur during installation.
